Before I go on holiday my favourite part of the preparation is the outfit planning, at home I rarely get to dress up in the week so being able to do this every day is fabulous and what better place to take outfit photos then in Dominican Republic, with its amazing tropical backdrop!
One item that I always bring on holidays is a maxi dress, why you ask? Because they are so versatile. You can easily wear a maxi dress from the beach to the bar and be super comfy whilst your doing it! The only problem I do have with buying maxi dresses is that they do design them for tall people and being that I am only 5 ft 2, some of them can be super long, but a pair of wedges does always help with the height problem.

With this maxi dress outfit post I had a little help from Blue Vanilla who kindly gifted me a gorgeous navy ruffle maxi dress from their SS17 range, which actually fit my small frame and is easily affordable at just £30! I have previously worn their designs on the blog before here, I love that their clothing has a unique style and it doesn't break the bank. If you're looking to update your holiday wardrobe they are the place to go...
The beautiful maxi dress is a wrap style which ties at the side, deep v neckline with ruffles and a dipped hem at the back. I felt so glam wearing it down to the beach for these photo's and because the print is so bright and colourful I didn't feel like I needed to add accessories. I'm definitely going to be taking this maxi dress on my next holiday to Ibiza in June.
Watch out for my full Caribbean holiday outfits coming soon to the blog!
Do you like to wear maxi dresses?
